In all of his studies, Cruz Vergara shows an urge for righteousness and truth alike. And that makes him a notable critic who offers guidance for all those who want to appreciate our literature; Noting how in the system he used he followed the guidelines with which Sainte Beuve superseded emotional, impressionistic and individualistic criticism (although this school still has a large number of followers) by studying quality and ability the authors, the medium they intend to use and their artistic affiliation; and considering how he has already gone to court with all our authors, despite the relative vastness of our country, his youth and his still limited publications, he has truly earned the title of “Chilean Sainte Beuve ”.
