Doseděl initially celebrated success on the second-rate Challenger Tour . In his career he won five singles titles and three more doubles. On the ATP Tour between 1995 and 1997 he collected a total of three individual titles, all on sand. He was also in three other finals. In doubles he was also able to win a title with his compatriot Pavel Vízner . In Grand Slam tournaments , his quarter-finals at the 1999 US Open was the greatest success of his career. In addition, he was twice in the round of 16 at the French Open and Australian Open . He reached his highest single place in the world rankings on October 10, 1994 with position 24. In doubles he reached position 120 in March 1997.
In 2000 he took part in the Summer Olympics in Sydney . He competed in the individual competition, where he met the Chilean Nicolás Massú in the opening round . Massú defeated Doseděl 6-2, 7-6 5 .
Doseděl played a total of six matches for the Czech Davis Cup team between 1994 and 2000 . He was used in eleven individual games, of which he won three and lost eight. He played all games in the world group, two of them in the quarter-finals.
