Curtis John Guillory SVD (born September 18, 1943 in Mallet ) is an American religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Beaumont .

Life

Curtis John Guillory joined the religious order of Steyler Missionaries and the Auxiliary Bishop in Panama , Carlos Ambrosio Lewis Tullock SVD, ordained him on December 16, 1972 .

Pope John Paul II. Appointed him on 29 December 1987 titular bishop of Stagnum and auxiliary bishop in Galveston-Houston . The Bishop of Galveston-Houston, Joseph Anthony Fiorenza , ordained him episcopally on February 19 the next year ; Co- consecrators were Philip Hannan , Archbishop of New Orleans , and James Terry Steib SVD, Auxiliary Bishop of Saint Louis .

He was named Bishop of Beaumont on June 2, 2000, and initiated into the office on July 28 of the same year. Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on June 9, 2020.
