The Czermnica (German Tscherbeeyer water , 1937-1945 Grenzcker water ; Czech Čermná , also Čermenský potok and Červený potok ) is a left tributary of the Brlenka . The area through which the Czermnica flows belongs to the powiat Kłodzki in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland and to the Okres Náchod in the Czech Republic .
description
The Czermnica rises in the wetland Długie Mokradło ( Long Lake ) in the Heuscheuergebirge . It initially flows northwest between the Ptasia Góra ( Vogelberg ) and the Błędne Skały ( Wilde Loches ). Before Pstrążna , it turns in a south-westerly direction and reaches the northern end of Czermna ( Tscherbeey / Grenzck ), which it flows through as a village stream to the southern end. At the level of the spa park of Kudowa-Zdrój ( Bad Kudowa ) it takes the Kudowsky potok ( Kudowaer water ) as a left tributary, also coming from the Heuscheuergebirge . Here it turns to the west and flows over the nearby border through Malá Čermná in the Czech Republic. After leaving the village, it reaches again Polish territory, which belongs to the districts of Słone ( Schlaney / Schnellau ). There it flows as a left tributary into the Brlenka coming from the north, which rises east of Vysoká Srbská . After almost a kilometer their water reached together with the Brlenka again Czech territory and flows Velké Poříčí in from the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks coming Metuje ( Mettau ).
Although the source of the Czermnica belongs to the Glatzer Kessel , whose waters drain into the Oder and thus into the Baltic Sea, it flows over the Brlenka and the Mettau into the Elbe , and thus to the North Sea , as the watershed runs above its source .
