Common history from 1680

With the annexation of the Archbishopric Magdeburg to Prussia, Dößel and Dobis belonged to the Brandenburg-Prussian Duchy of Magdeburg from 1680 . With the Treaty of Tilsit , both places and the Schachtberg tavern were incorporated into the Kingdom of Westphalia in 1807 and assigned to the Halle district in the Saale department. They belonged to the canton of Wettin . After Napoleon's defeat and the end of the Kingdom of Westphalia, Napoleon's allied opponents liberated the Saalkreis in early October 1813.

During the political reorganization after the Congress of Vienna in 1815, Dößel and Dobis were attached to the administrative district of Merseburg in the Prussian province of Saxony and assigned to the Saalkreis.

On July 1, 1950, Dobis was incorporated into Dößel. On July 1, 2008, Dößel was incorporated into the city of Wettin , and on January 1, 2011 it was incorporated into Wettin-Löbejün.
