The Dönibach (in the upper reaches Chaltbrunne is called) a 3.1 km long left tributary of Reppisch in the communities Bergdietikon and Dietikon in the Swiss cantons of Aargau and Zurich . It drains an area of ​​1.9 square kilometers on the eastern slope of the Heitersberg . To distinguish the tributary of the same name, it is also referred to as the Upper Dönibach .

Earlier recorded names are Dünnen 1367, Thünjbach 1638, Dünne Bach 1795, Lochbach , Dünnenbach and the Tünnern , which means brook with a thin, weak thread of water. The river Dünnern in the canton of Solothurn has undergone a similar name development . After a land consolidation at that time was small creek called waters Tönibach renamed.

The stream rises at 669  m above sea level. M. in the Egelsee-Wälleflüehau forest reserve above Kindhausen and below the Seematten , the silted up southern part of the Egelsee . Initially it flows mainly in a south-easterly direction and after around 100 meters takes up the 300-meter-longer stream from the Chatzenstrick , which rises below the Kindhausen ruins . He leaves the wooded area and from then on runs overtaken under fields. In this section he records the brook from the Rossweid from the left and the brook from the Hofacher from the right. After around 800 meters, it comes to the surface again and now touches the district of Kindhausen in the south, lined with thick wood . It flows in two larger arcs mainly in a northeasterly direction. It takes the brook from the Oberi Zelg before it turns again to the southeast and a little below in Baltenschwil takes the Untere Dönibach from the right. Shortly after Baltenswil , the Dönibach forms the border with the canton of Zurich and the border between the municipalities of Bergdietikon and Dietikon until it flows into the Reppisch . It finally empties at 404  m above sea level. M. after about 3 kilometers south of the Grunschen corridor in the Reppisch.

The catchment area of ​​the Dönibach measures 1.9 km², of which 45.4% is agricultural area, 42.1% wooded area, 12.1% settlement area and 0.4% unproductive area.
