Dörflis is a district of the Lower Franconian town of Königsberg in Bavaria in the Haßberge district .

geography

The village is about 24 kilometers north-west of Bamberg in the Haßberg Mountains . The Ebelsbach, a right tributary of the Main, flows through the village .

history

Dörflis was first mentioned in a document in 1346 as “Conr. Straßf. ”Received the fiefdom of the“ Dorflins ”.

In the 16th century the lords of Bibra owned the village. In 1618 Duke Ernst von Sachsen-Weimar acquired Dörflis, which was incorporated into the Saxon office of Königsberg. The village belonged to Saxe-Weimar until 1640 , followed by Saxe-Gotha until 1675, Saxe-Römhild until 1683 and then the Duchy of Saxe-Hildburghausen . With the reorganization of the Ernestine duchies in 1826 until the end of the monarchy in 1918, the place belonged to the duchy of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha . In 1920 it was incorporated into the Bavarian district office of Hofheim .

In 1837 the parish village of Dörflis had 179 inhabitants, in 1871 there were 173 who lived in 35 residential buildings. In 1925 the rural community of Dörflis near Königsberg in Bavaria had an area of ​​363.62 hectares, 175 inhabitants, all of whom were Protestant, and 32 residential buildings. The Protestant church and school were in place. 1950 the place had 218 inhabitants and 32 residential buildings. In 1970 Dörflis was one of Koenigsberg i.Bay. 198 inhabitants and 1987 157 inhabitants and 36 residential buildings.

On May 1, 1978, the municipality of Dörflis was incorporated into the city of Königsberg.

Attractions

The Evangelical Lutheran parish church of St. Burkhard is a choir tower church . The nave is a hall building with a hipped roof . The basement of the choir tower dates from the 16th century. The choir has a plastered flat wooden ceiling. The dome roof of the tower was erected in the second half of the 18th century. Dörflis was initially parish in Zeil am Main , from 1446 to Kirchlauter and finally from the end of the 16th century an independent parish.
