Coone (* 30th May 1983 ; actually Koen Bauweraerts ) is a Belgian Hardstyle - DJ and producer and lives in Oud-Turnhout . He is also known under the pseudonyms Mr. Pink , The Artist Also Known As , Bounzer or Justin Tenzz . Since 2010 he has been known as Ambassador Inc. together with DJ Fenix . Bauweraerts is the owner of the Dirty Workz label .

Career

He entered the music business for the first time in 1998 with the first production of his own songs. He released his debut single Protect the Innocent in 2002 on the hard-house label "Hardball Records". Already there he began in the field of jumpstyle and hardstyle music, one of the most famous representatives of which he is today. In the following years he made a name for himself in particular in the field of hard house, while at the same time he had several other projects running with the Russian producer DJ-Fenix and solo, with which he also represented other, similar music genres .

In 2006 his career got off to a flying start as he hung up on Reverze 2006 and at the same time produced the official anthem entitled Infected . In 2007, The Chosen One, the anthem for Reverze 2007 followed . A year later, on March 6, 2008, his debut album My Dirty Workz was finally released on "Toff Music". A deluxe version followed in 2009 and the albums The Challenge and Global Dedication two more years apart . With all three albums he made it into the Belgian album charts. The special thing about the album The Challenge is that Coone had accepted a challenge that included producing an album with various international greats of the hardstyle scene (Scope DJ, Deepack, Da Tweekaz and many others) in a time frame of one month and had to be published. During the production, a film team filmed the everyday life of the producer, with these recordings broken down into episodes and published daily on DJ Coone's YouTube channel.

In 2012 Coone first appeared at the world's largest EDM music festival, Tomorrowland in Belgium. There he especially promoted his own productions, but was also supported for the first time through his collaboration with the Belgian DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike . The song, released in 2013 entitled Madness , turned out to be one of his greatest hits. American rapper Lil Jon contributed vocals . The song advanced to number 35 on the Belgian singles charts and after a short time reached several million views on YouTube. At the same time, a remix of the song Mammoth by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike was released together with Moguai , which received numerous positive feedback. In the same year a collaboration with Steve Aoki appeared . The song is titled Can't Stop The Swag and contains a mix of hardstyle and house similar to Madness .

In 2014 Coone produced a remix for the song A Light that Never Comes by the American rock band Linkin Park in collaboration with Steve Aoki. In contrast to his other productions, the style can be classified much more in the field of hard dance. The remix could also be found on the remix EP. A short time later, Coone published the anthem for the hardstyle festival Defqon.1 . The song was released with the title Survival Of The Fittest and was also described as a little "shallower". On June 27, 2014, Coone himself could be seen at the festival. With Into the Madness , Coone followed suit and again received very positive criticism, as his songs are becoming more and more melodic in the eyes of the fans, which gives the songs much more quality.

In June 2015, Bauweraerts became the father of a girl. For her he produced the song of the same name "Faye" with David Spekter.

After the Dutch DJ duo Bassjackers made a successful remix for Into the Madness , they decided to produce a song together. This resulted in the song Sound Barrier , which received support from Yellow Claw and Laidback Luke as well as Bassjackers himself at Tomorrowland 2015. On June 5, 2015 it was announced that the Dutch DJ GLDY LX was also involved in the song. A release date for the hardstyle track has not yet been announced.

On July 29, 2016, Coone's new album Less is More was released; it was available for pre-order as a signed version on his homepage from July 14, 2016.

On July 22nd, 2018 he was the first hardstyle act to appear on the main stage of the Tomorrowland Festival.
