DJ Lee (* 1970 in Hamburg ; real name Michael-Lee Bock ) is a DJ and music producer. His style can be classified in the hard trance category .

Career

Bock has been active as a DJ worldwide for years and has worked in countries such as B. Norway , Austria , Switzerland and Japan played. These included discos , clubs and open air events such as B. the Loveparade ( Berlin ), the G-Move ( Hamburg ), the Airbeat One in ( Neustadt-Glewe ) and the Street Move in Trappenkamp .

He started producing dance music in 1998 together with the ex-guitarist of The Sisters of Mercy , Andreas Bruhn . This resulted in productions for Tv Junkies , Dons , MLBProjekt , Upserver , Earth Bound , Fourth Inc. and Scala , among others .

In 2000 the joint activity with Andreas Bruhn ended and Lee started working with Nils Karsten aka Van Der Karsten . Numerous projects such as Megara vs DJ Lee , Apollo , Chemistry , DJ Lee and Van Der Karsten were launched.

Their first Megara vs DJ Lee single The Megara also brought the two Hamburg DJs and producers so much recognition that they made their debut at EMI a little later with the Powertrance anthem Full Intention . Even before the publication, full intention was found through chart positions in the top five of the DJ Top 40, DDC and ODC. A few weeks later, the single entered the Media Control Dance Charts. After the single "Hold your hands up high", "Human Nature" was last released. They delivered remixes for numerous musicians such as Avantgarde, Beam vs. Cyrus , Darude , DeeDee , DJ Shog , Fragma , Project Medusa vs. Exor , Pulsedriver , Special D. , Starsplash , Dumonde vs. Lange, Klubbingman , Kyau & Albert and Marc et Claude .

Private

From the age of eight he developed a passion for music. As a music-crazy rocker, his father Mario had probably contributed the largest part.

Bock began collecting records at the age of ten. The styles he preferred were funk & soul , black , rock , house , up to trance and techno .

Michael-Lee Bock lives in Hamburg.
