Dagmara Domińczyk (born July 17, 1976 in Kielce , Poland ) is an American actress of Polish origin.

Life and accomplishments

Domińczyk moved to New York City at the age of seven after her father, an activist with the Solidarność union , had to leave the country. She studied dramaturgy at Carnegie Mellon University .

Domińczyk became famous when she starred in the play Closer by Patrick Marber on Broadway in 1999 . In the musical comedy Rock Star (2001) she starred alongside Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston . In the adventure film The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) she appeared on the side of James Caviezel and Richard Harris . In the thriller Tough Luck (2003) she played the role of Divana , the wife of Ike , played by Armand Assante . In the biopic Krass (2006) she starred alongside Annette Bening , Brian Cox , Alec Baldwin and Gwyneth Paltrow .

Domińczyk has been married to actor Patrick Wilson since 2005 . The couple have two sons. Domińczyk's sisters Marika Domińczyk (* 1980) and Veronika Domińczyk (* 1986) are also actresses.
