Dance Monkey is a pop song by the tone and I . It was released on May 10, 2019 as the second single from the EP The Kids Are Coming . The song developed into an international hit and reached the top position in many countries. In Australia, for example, he not only broke the record for the most number-one weeks by a local artist at ten weeks, but ultimately also the record for the single with the most number-one weeks ever at 16 weeks.

Music video

The accompanying music video, which was released on June 24, 2019, shows, among other things, seniors playing golf and dancing. It has been accessed over 1 billion times (as of May 20, 2020). It was produced by Visible Studios and directed by Liam Kelly and Nick Kozakis.

Awards for music sales

The single received, among other things, a diamond record in Germany for over a million units sold, making it one of the country's best-selling singles . In their native Australia, Tones and I even got eleven platinum records. Overall, got Dance Monkey awarded a Goldene-, 44 platinum and three Diamond records for more than 5.8 million copies sold worldwide.
