Daniel Sevo (born May 4, 1984 in Bayreuth ) is a German ice hockey player who has been playing for the Molot EC Hamburg Sailors from the Landesliga Nord since the 2019/2020 season.
Career
Sevo began his ice hockey career in the youth of ESV Bayreuth , where he went through several age groups, and in 2000, after a one-year commitment in the youth of 1. EV Weiden, he switched to the Cologne Haie youth team . There the defender played for the Cologne EC Junghaie in the German junior league . For the 2001/02 season Sevo returned for a one-year interlude in Bayreuth, where he was active for the Bayreuth Tigers in the major league . After he had put his talent, even those in charge of were Nuremberg Ice Tigers to the left-handed shooters attentive and engaged him in the summer of 2002. At Nuremberg Sevo was a production license equipped and came mainly for Heilbronner EC from the 2. Bundesliga for use . Overall, the defender completed only two DEL games for the Ice Tigers in which he could not achieve a scorer point .
Sevo's contract in Nuremberg was not extended and the Bayreuth native joined REV Bremerhaven from the top division. In his first season the defender was able to improve further and scored eleven points scorer in 54 games, but after only one year he changed clubs again and signed a contract with the direct league competitor EHC Leipziger Eislöwen . In the 2005/06 season , the management of the traditional ETC Crimmitschau club was able to convince him of a commitment where the defender was part of the regular squad. At the end of the season Sevo was able to celebrate promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga with the ETC. In his second year at the traditional club, the then 23-year-old performed well and finally signed a contract with the Hamburg Freezers from the DEL for the 2007/08 season . Sevo was again given a funding license and, in addition to his 33 appearances on the Elbe, also played 13 games for the Eisbären Regensburg in the 2nd Bundesliga.
After another season with the Freezers, he moved to league rivals Nürnberg Ice Tigers in 2009, where he also laced up his ice skates as a promotional licensed player for EHC Munich . In the 2010/11 season he was under contract with the upper division VER Selb before joining the Löwen Frankfurt in 2011 . With EHC Bayreuth since 2013.
