Daniela Amavia ( Greek Ντανιέλα Αμαβία , born March 4, 1966 in Athens ) is a Greek actress . Until 2002 she appeared under the name Daniela Lunkewitz .

Life

Daniela Amavia was born to Greek parents in 1966 in Greece (according to other information around 1970) and grew up in Germany . She began classical dance training as a child, later she studied American literature at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University , went on to dance and theater and attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London . Until 2004 she was the wife of the German publisher Bernd F. Lunkewitz . In 1988 she made her feature film debut as Daniela Lunkewitz with a small role in Frank Strecker's family drama Anna . She was then seen in German film and television and had guest appearances in the series Ein Fall für Zwei (1989) and Tatort (1994 and 1997).

From the mid-1990s, Lunkewitz focused on an international career and roles in English-language productions followed such as the television film Max 'Vermächtnis with Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers , which was based on the television series Hart but cordially (1979-1984). She played leading roles in Gabriela Tagliavini's science fiction comedy Perfect Lover and the romantic comedy Venus & Mars (both 2001) in which Julie Bowen , Lynn Redgrave and Julia Sawalha were her screen partners . Since her appearance in the US science fiction series Children of Dune (2003), she has appeared under the name Daniela Amavia.

Daniela Amavia has lived in Los Angeles since 1999 . There she was also the scriptwriter and director of the short film Rockin 'Good Times (1999) and executive producer of the film Venus & Mars (2001). Parallel to her work as an actress, she has also appeared as a model in the past, including for Karl Lagerfeld's perfume campaign Cloe . In 2013, Amavia made her debut as a screenwriter and director with the film A Beautiful Now .
