Daniela Romo ( Teresa Presmanes Corona ; born August 27, 1959 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican singer and actress.

Life

Daniela Romo gained her first stage experience as a choir singer in the group Los Hermanos Zavala . She then studied acting at Academia Andrés Soler and took singing lessons from Seth Riggs in Los Angeles . She has appeared at the theater in plays such as El soldadito de plomo , Pastoral navideño , Ifigenia en Aulide (by Euripides ), Gypsy and El diluvio que viene and made her television debut in 1978 in the series Ardiente secreto produced by Ernesto Alonso .

This was followed by other TV productions such as El enemigo , No temas al amor , El camino secreto , Balada por un amor , Si Dios me quita la vida , El manantial , Las vías del amor and Alborada . In 1979 she recorded a record with songs by Lolita de la Colina , she became known as a singer with pop ballads such as Mentiras and Cielo , which appeared on her album Daniela Romo in 1983 . She also had success in 1984 with the song Yo no te pido la luna from the album Amor prohibido , a cover version of Non voglio mica la luna by Fiordaliso . At the 1985 World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo, she represented Mexico with Denisse de Kalafes song Es nuestro amor .

As a dancer, singer, actress and presenter, Daniela Romo has appeared in television programs such as "Noche a noche" and Hoy con Daniela . In 2007 she played in the telenovela Amor sin maquillaje , and the following year Sueños de cabaret was her eighteenth album with songs by Pedro Infante , Luis Miguel , Laura Pausini and others. She also had other television appearances in Carla Estrada's production Sortilego (2009) as well as Salvador Mejías Triunfo del amor (2010-11) and La tempestad (with William Levy and Ximena Navarrete , 2013).

In 2013, she presented young singing talents in the television program Lo que más quieres as a presenter with a jury that included Galilea Montijo , Susana Zabaleta , Marco Antonio Regil , Adal Ramones and Lupita D'Alessio . In 2014 she gave a review of the greatest successes of her musical career in a show at the Auditorio Nacional .
