Dante Frasnelli Tarter

Dante Frasnelli Tarter OSI (born January 6, 1925 in Dardine , today in Predaia , Trentino , † January 10, 2020 in Lima ) was an Italian Roman Catholic religious and prelate of Huari .

Life

Dante Frasnelli Tarter joined the Order of the Oblates of Saint Joseph and was ordained a priest on July 6, 1952 . In 1953 he went to the mission to Peru.

Pope Paul VI appointed him on August 3, 1967 as Prelate of Huari and Titular Bishop of Urusi . The Archbishop of Trujillo Carlos Maria Jurgens Byrne CSsR donated him episcopal ordination on November 1st of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Teodosio Moreno Quintana , Bishop of Huaraz , and Orazio Ferrucio Ceól OFM , Bishop of Qichun .

On November 30, 1977 he renounced his titular bishop's seat in the course of the new allocation directives of the Roman Curia . On June 13, 2001, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.

Frasnelli was considered a pioneer of cooperativism and the solidarity economy . He was involved in large cooperation and solidarity economy projects and contributed to the integral human development of the region.
