The Diocese of Huari ( Latin : Dioecesis Huariensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese located in northern Peru .
The Huari Prelature was established on May 15, 1958 from cessions of territory by the dioceses of Huánuco and Huaraz and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Trujillo as a suffragan . On April 2, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI. the prelature with the apostolic constitution Solet Apostolica Sedes to the diocese.
