Darius Bazley (born June 12, 2000 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is an American basketball player .

career

Bazley played basketball as a teenager at Finneytown High School in Ohio, and then at Princeton High School in the same state. He was one of the most hopeful young players of his class in the USA and took part in the McDonald's All-American Game in March 2018 . Bazley withdrew his commitment to Ohio State University in April 2017 and announced in July 2017 that he would enroll at Syracuse University . He also reversed this decision and instead planned to switch to the NBA G-League and thus to professional business. This project did not put Bazley into action, but trained in-house to be targeted to the draft method of NBA prepare in June of 2019. The Utah Jazz secured the rights to the winger in the first selection round in 23rd place, but gave them to the Oklahoma City Thunder via the Memphis Grizzlies .
