Darja Valeryevna Shkurichina ( Russian Дарья Валерьевна Шкурихина ; born October 3, 1990 in Kazan ) is a Russian rhythmic gymnast and Olympic champion .
At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 , at the age of 17, she won the gold medal in the team competition in front of China and Belarus together with Aliychuk , Gavrilenko , Gorbunova , Posevina and Sujewa .
In 2007 Shkurichina became world champion in Patras, Greece .
In October 2008 Shkurichina ended her sporting career and has since worked at the Gold's Fitness fitness club in Nizhny Novgorod .
Shkurichina is the ambassador for the 2018 Nizhny Novgorod World Cup .
