Daumants Lusa (born September 24, 1992 in Cēsis ) is a Latvian biathlete .

Daumants Lusa starts for the Cēsis ski club . He made his international debut at the 2012 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti , where he was 58th in the individual, 69th in the sprint and 17th in the relay race. A year later he was 73rd in the individual, 59th in the sprint and 54th in the pursuit in Obertilliach . In the further course of the year Lusa took part in the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2013 in Forni Avoltri and finished 19 in the sprint and 9 in the pursuit race.

In the men’s performance category, Lusa contested his first races in 2012 in Altenberg in the IBU Cup , where he was 77th in the individual and 71st in the sprint. He achieved his best result in the racing series in 2014 as 59th of an individual in Obertilliach. The first international championships were the 2014 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Tyumen , where Lusa was 35th in the sprint, 34th in the pursuit and tenth in the mixed relay race with Inga Paškovska , Žanna Juškāne and Rolands Pužulis . At the beginning of 2015 he contested his first race in the Biathlon World Cup with the relay race in Oberhof and was 18th alongside Andrejs Rastorgujevs , Roberts Slotiņš and Rolands Pužulis. A week later he was to run his first individual race, a sprint, in Ruhpolding but did not start. Then Lusa took part in the 2015 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää , where he was 87th of the individual and with Aleksandrs Patrijuks , Roberts Slotiņš and Toms Praulītis 16th with the lapped relay.
