David Stuart Morrison (* 12. June 1962 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player and current amateur - Scout for the Toronto Maple Leafs . During his playing career, he was active in both the National Hockey League and the German Ice Hockey League .

Career

Morrison began his career with the Peterborough Petes , for whom he played from 1979 to 1982 first in the OHA and then in the OHL . Before the start of the NHL 1981/82 he was signed by the Los Angeles Kings from the NHL , who had selected him in the second round in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft in 34th position. They first used him in the American Hockey League with their farm team , the New Haven Nighthawks , but was committed after eight games during the current 1983/84 season by the Vancouver Canucks , for their farm team, the Fredericton Express , he ran up until 1986 . During this time he was also used between 1980 and 1983 for the Los Angeles Kings and for the 1984/85 season for the Vancouver Canucks in the NHL.

After Germany , he joined then 1986 EV Stuttgart in the league , with whom he in the same season 1986/87 still in the 2. Bundesliga rise. After a change in the second division season 1989/90 to EC Ratingen , for which he played 50 games in two seasons, he was poached by EC Kassel . He initially ran for the Kassel ice hockey club from 1991 to 1993 and achieved a total of 170 scorer points in 100 games . Due to his remarkable achievements, he was then signed by the first division club Eisbären Berlin .

At the start of the German Ice Hockey League, when the Kassel Huskies were also top notch, Morrison returned to Kassel. He played there until the 1996/97 season and won the German runner-up with the "Huskies". For the following two seasons he was signed by the Manchester Storm , but then ended his career as a professional player after his contract ended.
