David Raagaard Jensen (born March 25, 1992 in Hillerød ) is a Danish soccer goalkeeper who is under contract with the New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer .
Career
As a youth, Jensen played for the club in his hometown, Hillerød GI, from which he moved to FC Nordsjælland . He played in this club for the first time at the age of 13 and signed his first contract there at the age of 16. He has been a goalkeeper there since 2014, having previously been awarded several times.
In the summer of 2016, Jensen moved to the Eredivisie for FC Utrecht . He was given a three-year contract with an option to extend for another year.
On January 29, 2020, Jensen moved to the New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer.
Jensen took part in the 2015 U-21 European Championship with the Danish U-21 . In this tournament, the U-21 reached the semi-finals, in which they were eliminated against Sweden. Jensen was not involved. On June 2, 2017, Jensen was invited to the Danish national team for the first time after Kasper Schmeichel was injured and was nominated for the international test match against Germany and for the World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan .
