Cristian Sleiker Cásseres Yepes (born January 20, 2000 in Caracas ) is a Venezuelan football player .

Career

society

Cásseres played in Deportivo La Guaira's youth until 2016 . In October 2016 he made his debut in the Primera División when he came on as a substitute for Keiver Zúñiga in the 57th minute of the ninth matchday of Clausura 2016 against Atlético Venezuela . In the 2016 season he came to two appearances in the top Venezuelan division. In May 2017, he scored his first goal in the Primera División in a 3-1 win against Zulia FC . In the 2017 season, he played 13 games in which he scored one goal.

In February 2018 he moved to the United States for the New York Red Bulls . In March 2018 he made his debut for the Red Bulls' second team in the USL when he came on as a substitute for Brian White in the 83rd minute against the second team of Toronto FC on matchday one of the 2018 season . In June 2018, he scored his first USL goal in a 4-2 win over Charlotte Independence . In July 2018, he was against DC United in the first team of the New York Red Bulls for the first time.

He finally made his MLS debut in August 2018 when he started against Houston Dynamo and was replaced by Aaron Long in the 82nd minute . At the end of the season he had three appearances in the MLS and 25 appearances in the USL. In April 2019, he scored his first goal in the MLS in a 2-1 loss to Minnesota United .

National team

Cásseres took in 2017 with the Venezuelan U-17 team at the World Grand Prix in part. In 2018 he played for the first time for the U-20 team , with which he also took part in the South American Championship in 2019 .

Personal

His father Cristian (* 1979) was also a soccer player and Venezuelan national player.
