Marc Rzatkowski [ ʒatkofski ] (born March 2, 1990 in Bochum ) is a German football player .

Career

His parents Herbert and Martina registered him at the age of three in November 1993 with SV Langendreer 04 , for which his father and older brother Tim also played. At an indoor tournament he fell Scouts of VfL Bochum and he moved with eight years in the F-youth VfL where he went through all the youth teams. In 2009 he was brought to the second team of the second division . A year later he signed his first professional contract with VfL, although Schalke 04 was also interested in a commitment.

On the seventh game day he played his first professional game against SpVgg Greuther Fürth when he came on for Roman Prokoph in the 67th minute , but also picked up his first yellow card of his career. It took another seven match days before he made his starting line-up debut. In the 80th minute against SC Paderborn 07 he set the final point in the 3-0 home win.

For the 2011/12 season Rzatkowski was awarded to third division Arminia Bielefeld . On matchday 7 he scored his first goal for East Westphalia when he scored the 2-2 equalizer against SSV Jahn Regensburg in the 42nd minute . For the 2012/13 season he returned to Bochum.

On January 15, 2013, FC St. Pauli signed Rzatkowski for the 2013/14 season . He signed a contract with a term of three years until June 30, 2016. In May 2014, the contract with Marc Rzatkowski was prematurely extended by one year until June 30, 2017.

For the 2016/17 season , Rzatkowski moved to the Austrian champions FC Red Bull Salzburg , where he received a contract valid until June 2020.

On January 31, 2018, Rzatkowski moved to the USA on loan to the New York Red Bulls for the 2018 season . For the 2019 season , the New York Red Bulls finally also acquired the transfer rights to Rzatkowski.
