Mathias Jørgensen (born September 20, 2000 in Hundested ) is a Danish football player .

Career

In the club

Jørgensen moved from FC Nordsjaelland's youth to Odense BK's youth in February 2017 . In the A-Jugend (U19), the striker scored 21 goals in 21 games in the 2017/18 season. In addition, he was already in the reserve team, for which he scored 9 goals in 6 missions. In March 2018 he was also used once in the professional team in the regular round of the Super League ; 2 more missions followed in the relegation round. For the 2018/19 season, Jørgensen was a permanent member of the professional squad. He scored 2 goals in 13 appearances until February 2019 and also made 3 appearances in reserve and 4 appearances (7 goals) in the U19s.

In January 2019, Jørgensen traveled to the training camp in Jerez de la Frontera with the professional team and the second team from Borussia Mönchengladbach . However, there was no obligation.

In February 2019, Jørgensen moved to the New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer . In the season 2019 he came to the franchise in Harrison , New Jersey 5 times (once from the beginning) in the MLS and once in the CONCACAF Champions League for use. In addition, Jørgensen played 22 times (including one in the play-offs) for the farm team , the New York Red Bulls II , from the USL Championship , scoring 11 goals.

In the national team

Jørgensen played four times for the Danish U18 national team between November 2017 and March 2018 . From April to November 2018 he made 6 appearances in the U19 team , in which he scored a goal. Jørgensen has been active in the U21 team since January 2020 .
