David Leisure

David Russell Leisure (born November 16, 1950 in San Diego , California ) is an American actor .

Life

Leisure studied art at San Diego State University and during this time shared a room with future actor Robert Hays . He initially joined at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego, moved to Los Angeles and took in 1980 his first film role in the ZAZ - comedy film The Incredible Journey in a mad spaceship on; his friend Robert Hays played the leading role. Leisure also played a small role in the sequel.

After guest appearances on television series such as Falcon Crest and Sledge Hammer! he got one of the leading roles in the series Harry's Nest , which was a spin-off from the series Golden Girls . He played the role of Charlie Dietz in 170 episodes of the series between 1987 and 1995, as well as in two episodes each of Golden Girls and Hello Sister! His feature film roles include appearances on The Brady Family , 10 Things I Hate About You , and Fallout . Leisure has been playing Shadow of Passion on the CBS soap opera since 2009 .

Leisure is also known in the United States for its participation in various national television commercials, particularly in the role of Joe Isuzu in commercials for the Japanese automaker Isuzu , which aired between 1986 and 1990, and again from 1999 to 2001. He is third married and has two children.
