David Six
David Six (born August 14, 1985 in Vöcklabruck , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian pianist and composer . Stylistically it can be assigned to classical music as well as creative jazz .
Live and act
Six grew up in a musically active family and began playing the piano at the age of six. After studying piano at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, he studied mridangam , tabla and Indian classical music in Berlin, New Delhi and Colombo. Since 2010 he has also taken lessons from the New York musicians Ellery Eskelyn , Aaron Parks and Fabian Almazan . He has been releasing albums under his own name since 2012.
David Six played a. a. with Shara Worden , Richard Reed Parry ( Arcade Fire ), Stargaze, Mira Lu Kovacs , Bill Frisell , Ramsch & Rosen, DACH, Mathias Ruppnig , Alexi Murdoch , Daníel Böðvarsson, Grant Hart ( Hüsker Dü ), Wanja Slavin , Andrej Prozorov , Mario Rom , Peter Herbert , Werner Zangerle , Dusko Goykovich and Laura Winkler .
