Life
David Churchil Valdes was born in Los Angeles to Armand George de Valdes and Joan Rosemary Churchill . After earning his bachelor's degree in theater studies at UCLA with Magna Cum Laude in 1976 , he began the two films Full Throttle to San Fernando and Tracy meets God as assistant director in 1980 and subsequently assisted Martin Scorsese and Wim Wenders, among others . He became friends with Clint Eastwood at an early age , so that in 1985 he worked as a production assistant on his Western Pale Rider - The Nameless Rider . After he produced his first own film with the mistaken comedy Wie der Vater, als Sohn in 1987, it was then other Eastwood films such as Pink Cadillac , Rookie - The Beginner and Perfect World that he produced. However, it was Frank Darabont's The Green Mile , for which production Valdes in 2000 with an Oscar nomination for Best Picture was his most valuable award.
Since September 14, 1974 David Valdes has been married to Susan Margaret Jones, with whom he has two daughters.
