Jefferson (born November 3, 1986 in Lynwood , California ) is a professional American basketball player . He currently plays in the Russian PBL for BK Jenissei from Krasnoyarsk .
Career
college
Jefferson was enrolled at the University of Southern California in 2006 and his first year of college was largely dedicated to his studies. Only from the second year he was then regularly used in the University Team Trojans in the NCAA . He was then elected to the “All Freshman First Team” of the Pac-10 Conference of the NCAA. Jefferson settled after this one in 2008 on the list for the Entry Draft of the NBA set and was still not selected.
Professional time
In the same year Jefferson signed his first professional contract with Maccabi Haifa in the Israeli Super League . With Maccabi he reached the final of the Israeli Cup and finished third in the Israeli championship. However, Maccabi has waived the right to start in the ULEB Cup. After moving to ASVEL in 2010, Jefferson played his first games in the ULEB Euroleague alongside the French championship. After only one year in France, Jefferson moved to the Russian PBL to Triumph Lyuberzy. In addition to the Russian championship in which he was elected All-Season MVP in 2012, he triumphed in the quarter-finals of the Baltic Basketball League and 3rd place in the FIBA Eurochallenge 2012.
In the summer of 2012, he played a few games in Guangzhou with Liu Sui Whampoa in the Chinese national league, which is located below the Chinese Basketball Association . He finally returned to Russia at the end of November 2012, but stayed in Asia and has since played for Yenisei Krasnoyarsk.
