Deep Roy (also Gordeep Roy ; * December 1, 1957 in Nairobi , Kenya , as Mohinder Purba ) is a short British actor , stuntman , screenwriter and puppeteer .

Live and act

Roy is the son of Indian parents. One of his ancestors was the Indian Maharajah Vinepal. He is 1.32 meters tall. After his father moved to Great Britain with the family , Deep Roy began working in cabarets as a stand-up comedian . Roy got his first TV role in 1976 in an episode of the crime series Mit Schirm, Charme und Melone ( The New Avengers ) and in the same year he also appeared in his first movie, in Blake Edwards ' Inspector Clouseau, the "best" man at Interpol ( The Pink Panther Strikes Again ), in which he played a short agent who was supposed to bring Inspector Clouseau “around the corner” at the Munich Oktoberfest .
