Denis Alexandrowitsch Bodrov ( Russian Денис Александрович Бодров ; born August 22, 1986 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Continental Hockey League since May 2017 .
Career
Denis Bodrow began his career as a hockey player in the youth division of the HK Lada Tolyatti , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Perwaja League from 2002 to 2004 . The defender then spent a year at ZSK WWS Samara in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, before returning to Lada Tolyatti. With Lada he won the IIHF Continental Cup at European level in 2006 . Following this season he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2006 in the second round as a total of 55th player by the Philadelphia Flyers , for which he however never played. The 2008/09 season began again with Lada Tolyatti in the newly founded Continental Hockey League , before he was given to Atlant Mytishchi in exchange for Mikhail Gluchow during the season . After only twelve games in the 2009/10 season , his contract with Atlant was canceled due to a lack of sporting success and he ended the season with Philadelphia's farm team Adirondack Phantoms in the American Hockey League .
For the 2010/11 season Bodrow was committed by KHL participant HK Spartak Moscow , for which he was active until April 2014. During this time, he was appointed assistant captain in 2012 and team captain in 2013 . He has been under contract with Salawat Julajew Ufa since May 2014 .

For Russia Bodrow took part in the U20 Junior World Cup in 2006 , where he finished second with his team.
