Rafael Aliyevich Batyrschin ( Russian Рафаэль Алиевич Батыршин ; born August 26, 1986 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Continental Hockey League since May 2019 . His brother Ruslan was also a hockey player.
Career
Rafael Batyrschin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Krylya Sowetow Moscow , for whose professional team he was active from 2003 to 2006 in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division. With Krylja Sowetow he succeeded in the 2005/06 season promotion to the super league , from which he and his team, however, relegated again in the following season .
After another second division season for Krylya Sovetov, in which he also came to 14 missions for Krylya's league rival HK Ryazan , his home club split into two separate organizations, with Batyrschin signing a contract with the newly founded MHK Krylja Sowetow Moscow . With the MHK he completed another season in the Wysschaja Liga before he was committed to the 2009/10 season by Vitjas Chekhov . For Vitjas he was in the Continental Hockey League on the ice until 2011 , before moving to Atlant Moskovskaya Oblast together with Viktor Bobrov in May 2011 .
In January 2012 Batyrschin was swapped for Vyacheslav Below from HK Sibir Novosibirsk , where he played until October 2012. He then returned to Atlant and played there until 2014. From May 2014 he was under contract with HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk and won the Gagarin Cup with this in 2016 . After this success he moved to Ak Bars Kazan and achieved with this 2108 again the win of the Gagarin Cup. In total, he completed 136 KHL games for the club from Tatarstan .
Batyrschin has been under contract with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg since May 2019 .
