Alexei Andrejewitsch Wassilewski ( Russian Алексей Андреевич Василевский , born January 21, 1993 in Ufa ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg from the KHL since May 2015 . His father was Andrei and his brother Andrei is an ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

Alexei Wassilewski started his career in 2004 in the youth division of Salawat Julajew Ufa and went through all of the club's youth teams. In December 2009 he made his debut for Tolpar Ufa , the junior team of Salawat Julajew Ufa, in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga (MHL) and was then part of the squad of the MHL team, in which his brother Andrei also played from 2010 .

From 2012 Wassilewski played in parallel for Toros Neftekamsk in the Wysschaja Hockey League and Tolpar Ufa in the MHL. In the 2013/14 season, the stakes at Tolpar were less, instead he completed his first games in the KHL for Salawat. In the 2014 play-offs, he was part of the KHL team.

In May 2015 it was given to Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg together with Alexander Pankow in exchange for Anton Lazarev .

International

Alexei Wassilewski represented his home country in the junior division at the World U-17 Hockey Challenge 2010 , the World Junior A Challenge 2011 and at a world championship, the U18 Junior World Championship 2011 , where he played for Russia with his brother Andrei and won the bronze medal won. At the World U-17 Hockey Challenge 2010 the Russians lost the bronze medal game against Sweden and finished the tournament in fourth place.

In 2012 he was in the squad for the 2013 U20 Junior World Cup until shortly before the start of the tournament , but was one of the last players to be removed from the expanded squad.
