Dennis Cabanada Villarojo (born April 18, 1967 in Cebu City , Philippines ) is a Filipino clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Malolos .

Life

Dennis C. Villarojo studied at the seminary in Cebu City and at the University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Manila , where he earned a licentiate in philosophy. He received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Cebu on June 10, 1994 .

From 1994 to 1998, and again from 2001 to 2010, he was personal secretary to the Archbishop, Ricardo Cardinal Vidal . From 1998 to 2001 he studied in Rome at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross , where he received his doctorate in philosophy .

Since 2010 he has been the moderator of the parish Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Cebu City. In 2015 he was also called to General Secretary of the 51st World Eucharistic Congress in January 2016 in Cebu City.

Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Gisipa and auxiliary bishop in Cebu on July 3, 2015 . The Archbishop of Cebu, Jose Serofia Palma , donated him episcopal ordination on August 10th of the same year. Co- consecrators were the senior archbishop of Cebu, Ricardo Jamin Cardinal Vidal , and the apostolic nuncio to the Philippines, Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto .

On May 14, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Malolos. The inauguration took place on August 21 of the same year.
