Dennis Widgren (born March 28, 1994 ) is a Swedish football player . The defender won the Swedish national cup with Östersunds FK in 2017 .

Career

Widgren comes from the youth of IFK Östersund , already as a teenager he switched to local competitor Östersunds FK in 2008 . After gaining his first international experience in two internationals for the Swedish U-17 national team in 2011 , he made his debut the following year for the adult team, which was then in the third division Division 1 . At the end of the third division season in 2012 , the defensive player rose with her to the Superettan . Despite higher-class interest, he then extended his contract with the club. From the second division season in 2014 , he received under coach Graham Potter in more than two thirds of the season's games, the following year he was involved in 23 season games in the club's first ascent to the Allsvenskan .
