Detlef Matthiessen (born May 14, 1954 in Schülp (Dithmarschen) ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Heide , Matthiessen completed a degree in veterinary medicine at the Free University of Berlin and then worked as a veterinarian from 1981 to 1996 . From 2000 to 2005 he was managing director of the Fördergesellschaft Windenergie eV

Detlef Matthiessen is married and has three children.

Political party

In the 1970s, Matthiessen was involved in the anti-nuclear movement and in 1978 was one of the co-founders of the Alternative List in West Berlin . The party The Greens he is a member since its founding 1980th Matthiessen was from 1984 to 1986 a member of the state executive committee of the Greens in Schleswig-Holstein and from 1984 to 1996 spokesman for the state working group on agriculture.

He was chairman of the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district association of the Greens and spokesman for the state working group on energy policy of the Greens in Schleswig-Holstein. He no longer holds both offices.

MP

Matthiessen was a member of the district assembly of Berlin-Wilmersdorf from 1979 to 1982 and of the municipal council of Osterby (Rendsburg-Eckernförde district) from 1991 to 1996 and 2002 .

From 1996 to 2000, Matthiessen was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament for the first time . On October 10, 2002, he replaced the resigned MP Rainder Steenblock in the state parliament and was a member of it until 2005. On June 19, 2006, he was again a member of the state parliament as a replacement for the resigned MP Klaus Müller and was also in the 17th electoral term (from October 27, 2009). He was also represented in the 18th state parliament from June 12, 2012, this time as a replacement for Robert Habeck .
