German team championship in chess 2020

The German Chess Team Championship 2020 is a chess tournament that is to take place in Karlsruhe from September 16 to 20, 2020 . Originally, the title was supposed to take place in the 2019/20 season of the 1st Bundesliga , but the season was interrupted in March 2020 after 8 of 15 rounds played due to the COVID-19 pandemic . On July 12, 2020, the members of the Schachbundesliga eV decided in a video conference to continue the season in spring 2021 and to play the title of German team champion 2020 in September 2020 at a central event in Baden-Baden or Karlsruhe. The first eight at the time of the break in the season should be eligible to start. If the participant did not participate, the right to start should be transferred to the next-placed team, but only eight Bundesliga clubs were interested in participating.
