Devann Yao (born April 5, 1990 in New York City ) is an American-French football player .

Career

Devann Yao played in Belgium for three years from 2011 for the lower-class clubs Royal Boussu Dour Borinage and FC Charleroi , which he left in summer 2014. In the early stages of the 2014/15 season , he was signed by the regional division TSG Neustrelitz . He made his debut in the Regionalliga Nordost on September 21, 2014 when he played against FSV Zwickau . In the 42nd minute he was substituted on for Sargis Adamyan in a draw by coach Torsten Gütschow . On November 1, 2014, Yao scored his first goal for TSG. In the 2-0 win against Budissa Bautzen , he scored the 1-0 lead in the 38th minute.

After only one season he left the club again and joined Kickers Offenbach , who played in the Regionalliga Südwest . He made his debut for his new club on August 8, 2015 in the Regionalliga game against FC 08 Homburg . In the 64th minute he was substituted on by coach Rico Schmitt for Fabian Bäcker . He scored his first of two goals for Offenbach on September 30, 2015 in the Hessenpokal . In the 5-1 win over TS Ober-Roden, he scored the 3-1 goal in the 57th minute.

In the winter break of the season he left the club again, moved again to the Regionalliga Nordost and joined the Berlin AK 07 there. He made his debut for Berlin on February 6, 2016 in the game against FSV 63 Luckenwalde . He was used by coach Steffen Baumgart for the entire season and scored his first goal for the BAK in the 90th minute with the final 2-0 score. On December 11, 2016, he was able to tie a three-pack for the first time for the BAK, but the game against the second team from RB Leipzig lost the team 3: 5.

After he rarely worked at the BAK after the winter break, he terminated his contract with the Berliners. For the 2017/18 season he joined the third division promoted SV Meppen . He made his debut for Meppen in the 3rd professional league on August 18, 2017 in a 4-0 win against FSV Zwickau . He was substituted on by coach Christian Neidhart in the 63rd minute for Marius Kleinsorge .

For the 2018/2019 season, Yao moved back to his former club Berliner AK 07 before joining the Luxembourg first division club Victoria Rosport during the winter break . But on April 10, 2019, his contract was dissolved and Yao was until September a club before he briefly which Fresno FC in US USL Championship joined.

Since January 1, 2020, he has been under contract again in Germany with FC Brandenburg 03 in the sixth class Berlin League .
