action

The film has a total of four storylines that meet at the end:

When two ivory poachers cross the area where Xixo's tribe lives, Xixo's children Xiri and Xisa, driven by curiosity, climb into the water tank on the trailer, whereupon the truck drives away with them. Xixo follows the trail to free his children.

Dr. Ann Taylor, a young New York lawyer who is attending a legal convention in Okakarara , makes an emergency landing with the zoologist Dr. Stephen Marshall on a flight in a microlight in the middle of the Kalahari desert . When he tries to start again, Stephen is left alone in the desert; Ann lands the plane with the emergency parachute .

In addition, a war is fought in the area, with the lost Cuban soldier Mateo and his Angolan opponent Timi initially capturing each other several times in comical scenes until they meet Ann, who manages to get both of them under their control in a scuffle. You come across Stephen, who was saved from dying of thirst by the passing Xixo. The ivory traders, from whose truck the children have now escaped, meet this group and bring them into their power, because they believe they are rangers . However, the group can escape. After Xixo has put out the bush fire that one of the poachers started to prevent their escape, he learns where to find his children.

In the end, Ann and Stephen, now in love with each other, travel back to civilization, the soldiers have learned that they get along better than each other, the poachers are handed over to justice, and Xixo's family is reunited.
