action

Because Charles-Ingvar "Sickan" Jönsson's father has found a new job, his whole family moves to Wall-Entuna in 1953, which is ruled by the heavily wealthy entrepreneur Wall-Enberg . Charles-Ingvar joins the class as a new student in the small Swedish village of Wall-Entuna . There he quickly met his new friends Ragnar Vanheden, Dynamit-Harry and Doris.

He quickly comes into conflict with the spoiled entrepreneur's son Morgan "Junior" Wall-Enberg and his willing helper Biffen. Among other things, these ensure that 'Sickan' is stamped as a rascal by the teacher on the first day. Meanwhile , he notices that all the children in his fourth grade only collect film star - collecting pictures from cornflakes packs . Whoever owns them all can count on great prestige. The two rarest pictures with Errol Flynn and James Dean are most sought after by children . Dynamit-Harry is also very interested in the very rare collector's pictures, as his great love Doris has promised him ten kisses on the mouth if he gets her the missing pictures.

Charles-Ingvar naturally has a plan to get hold of the coveted objects. Together with Ragnar Vanheden and Dynamit-Harry, they decide to steal the coveted objects in the corn flakes factory that belongs to the father of their adversary Morgan Wall Endberg Junior. At night they break into the factory and distract the workers. Then they use a machine developed by Charles-Ingvar's father to put more than 1000 pictures in a package. But if you try to take the pack with you, you have to flee. When they want to buy the pack in the store the next day, however, they find that their adversary Morgan "Junior" Wall-Enberg has bought all the boxes because he wants the coveted pictures himself.

The three boys then break into the Wall-Enbergs to search the boxes. Instead of the little pictures, the boys find two documents that prove that Wall-Enberg Senior wants to tear down the entire village in order to instead build an industrial area with huge office buildings and parking garages. When they find out that they will soon become homeless, Charles-Ingvar forges a plan to save the village. With a potato stamp you can stamp a 'No' on the document but get caught and have to flee from Morgan "Junior" and Biffen. They can wipe out the two when the two build an accident with their soap box. With the stamped document you can prevent the demolition from starting at the very last second.

A little later the three of them are sitting by the river and are annoyed that they have saved the village but still have no pictures. When Harry wants to tell Doris the truth, the two pictures he was looking for swim in the river in front of him. All the pictures that they stole had previously been thrown into the river by the Wall-Enbergs chauffeur when he was looking for the missing documents. In the end, they still have their coveted collectibles and dynamite Harry gets the promised kisses and his Doris as a friend.

While they are 'drying' their wealth and toasting their successful coup and friendship, they are already planning their next act. Loud, popping fireworks in the Wall-Enbergs' house!

background

The model for the children's series was the "Jönsson gang", known in Sweden, or Jönssonligan in Swedish , which is a criminal trio in a Swedish film series. These films are Swedish remakes or in-house developments based on the model of the legendary Danish Olsen Gang . As a new idea, the Jönssonligan was filmed in Sweden from the mid- 1990s onwards with children who have characters similar to the Swedish "adult" figures. In contrast to the actual Jönssonligan films (which are not yet available in German), the first two junior films have also been dubbed in German. Later this example was followed in Denmark and Norway and each also created their own “youth versions” of the Olsen Gang. After the remake of the first Danish Olsen Gang Junior , one carried out in Norway, even more independent Norwegian youth sequels (2003-2010) without corresponding templates.

Film premiere and releases

The film had its Swedish cinema - Premiere on 29. November 1996 . It was then shown on Swedish television on SVT1 , TV3 and TV4 and in July 1997 the first Swedish DVD was released . The film premiered in Germany on September 7, 2000 under the name Die Jönsson-Gang und der Cornflakesraub , and it was subsequently shown on the KI.KA channel and was released on DVD in May 2007 by Lighthouse Home Entertainment .
