Valentin and his companion Constance are both renowned designers. You are preparing a retrospective at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris . But it turns out differently than planned.

Valentin comes from a family in the Nord département . But he kept this silent and claimed that his mother left him after he was born. He also trained the language of his homeland . Now his mother, brother, sister-in-law and niece surprisingly come to the capital and look for him at the event. The encounter shakes Valentin. Shortly afterwards he had an accident caused by Constance's father. He is losing his memory and can only recall events that happened before he left his home twenty-five years ago. He no longer speaks his flawless French, but the language of the Sh'tis.

It is the sixth feature film directed by Dany Boon . According to him, it is not a sequel to his hit film Willkommen bei den Sch'tis from 2008.

Dany Boon is also the main actor in the film. He plays with two other actresses from the north, Line Renaud and Valérie Bonneton , with whom he has worked in other films. He also cast other roles with Pierre Richard and Guy Lecluyse from Willkommen bei den Sch'tis and Nothing to Declare , Laurence Arné from Radin! and François Berléand actors from his previous films.

Filming

The shooting lasted ten weeks. They took place at the beginning of summer 2017 near Paris , in particular in the Cité du cinéma near Saint-Denis and at the end of summer near Hauts-de-France .
