Diemonds is a Canadian sleaze rock band from Toronto that was formed in 2006. Her music, inspired by glam metal of the 1980s and performed by singer Priya Panda, is aimed at “ outsiders and wild animals ”.

history

Singer Priya Panda from Mississauga and of Indian descent, guitarists Daniel Dekay and CC Diemond and Vassil Mester started the Diemonds in 2006. They cite groups such as Mötley Crüe , Guns N 'Roses and Skid Row as musical role models .

After the release of their second album The Bad Pack , the following North American tour took the Diemonds to major festivals such as Rocklahoma and Seattle Hempfest, and they appeared in supporting acts for Steel Panther , Slash , Sebastian Bach and Kiss and played with Faster Pussycat and Crash diet .

In 2015 they released their third studio album Never Wanna Die . It was produced by Eric Ratz, multiple Juno Award winner who has already worked for groups such as Monster Magnet and Billy Talent . In Europe it is distributed by the Austrian label Napalm Records . The reviews were favorable. Thorsten Zwingelberg wrote in Twilight magazine that the album sounds "like a hard rock album 2015 has to sound like". He also draws comparisons to groups like Sister Sin , Crucified Barbara or Halestorm .
