Dieter Seidenkranz

Dieter Seidenkranz (born July 22, 1966 in Sauerland ; † August 6, 2006 in Gambach , Upper Bavaria ) was a German strength athlete and actor .

When he was one year old, his parents moved to Reichertshausen . At the age of six, Dieter Seidenkranz received judo lessons and at the age of 21 he began weight training.

On July 23, 2005, he won the strongman competition in Rosenheim and won the title of “ Germany's strongest man ”. Typical tasks of strongman competitions are pulling trucks, lifting 125 or 160 kg stone balls, throwing logs, etc. The strongman competitions are inspired by the Highland Games in Scotland , where there are also many strength competitions. Together with Andi Hofmann he formed a training and show team.

Dieter Seidenkranz used his popularity for a career on television. He took acting classes and appeared in Janitor Krause , Der Clown , Alarm für Cobra 11 , Siska and the RTL action show Kimme & Dresche (leading role). He was regularly seen in the BR comedy series Kanal fatal alongside Veronika von Quast . Seidenkranz wrote a scene for the ZDF series Hidden Camera in which he and his training partner Andreas Hofmann “tricked” Veronika von Quast and Heiner Lauterbach .

He also worked full-time as a truck salesman at Peter Praunsmändtl GmbH and Co.KG in Ingolstadt .

Dieter Seidenkranz died seconds after a holiday pass demonstration for children . He left behind his wife and two daughters.
