Dieter Wiefelspütz
Dieter Wiefelspütz (born September 22, 1946 in Lünen ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1987 to 2013 he was a member of the German Bundestag .
From 1998 to October 19, 2011, Wiefelspütz was the domestic political spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group. From 1990 to 1998 he was chairman of the Bundestag committee for election review, immunity and rules of procedure .
Life
After graduating from secondary school , Wiefelspütz first completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller and took his secondary school diploma . He then began studying law at the Ruhr University in Bochum , which he completed in 1975 with the first state examination in law. After completing his legal clerkship , he also passed the second state examination in 1978 and then worked as a judge , most recently at the Administrative Court of Gelsenkirchen . He has been admitted to the bar since 1989 . In 2002 he received his doctorate as Dr. jur. with work The Committee of Inquiry Act . In 2016 he was appointed honorary professor in law at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf , where he has been a lecturer in the field of "Political Law" since 2005. Dieter Wiefelspütz is Protestant and married.

Wiefelspütz joined the SPD in 1972 and was chairman of the SPD city association of Lünen.
From 1987 Wiefelspütz was a member of the German Bundestag . From 1990 to 1998 he was Chairman of the Committee on Election Review, Immunity and Rules of Procedure. From 1994 Wiefelspütz was a member of the executive committee of the SPD parliamentary group and from November 1998 was spokesman for the internal affairs group . From December 2002 to November 2003 he was chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the 1st committee of inquiry of the 15th electoral term of the German Bundestag . From December 2005 he was also deputy spokesman for the parliamentary group's working group on election review, immunity and rules of procedure .
Dieter Wiefelspütz has always entered the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the constituency of Hamm - Unna II . In the 2009 Bundestag election , he received 43.9% of the first votes . In the 17th electoral term he was a member of the Bundestag interior committee . In October 2011 he announced that he no longer wanted to run for the next federal election and at the same time resigned from his position as domestic policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group with immediate effect.
Wiefelspütz was a member of the European Union parliamentary group of the German Bundestag .

Dieter Wiefelspütz was first chairman of the Lüner SV until May 31, 2011 .
Trivia
In 2003 he bet in the WDR show Hart but fair with presenter Frank Plasberg that the Bundestag would succeed in agreeing on a slimming of the members' pensions by the summer of the following year . Wiefelspütz lost this bet and donated a monthly salary to a good cause.
