Dikgatlong ( English Dikgatlong Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Frances Baard district of the North Cape province of South Africa . The local government office is in Barkly West . Mayoress is Dorothy Mbizeni.
Dikgatlong is Setswana and stands for 'confluence'. The name refers to the two rivers Harts and Vaal near Delportshoop . The area was named that way back in the 18th century.
