Dina (also Dinah ) is a rare female given name in German-speaking countries .
Origin and meaning
Hebrew דִינַה “the judge” or “the righteous” or also one “who was given justice” from the Jewish דִין ( din = 'right, judgment').
In the Old Testament, Dina is the only named daughter of Jacob and Lea, who is wronged and whose brothers take revenge on the evildoers.
This name is also used in Africa, where it means: “a beautiful protective place” (origin: Mashona, Zimbabwe).
In Arabic (Morocco) the first name means: "Religion"
