Dino Zamparelli (born October 5, 1992 in Bristol , England ) is an Italian - British racing driver . He starts with a British license. In 2013 and 2014 he competed in the GP3 series .

Career

Zamparelli began his motorsport career at the age of seven in 1999 in kart racing and remained active in it until 2007. In 2007 he switched to GT racing and competed in the British Ginetta Junior. He was 13th in the drivers' championship. In 2008 he stayed in this series and won the championship with ten wins from 24 races. In addition, Zamparelli made his debut in formula racing and competed in the winter series of the Portuguese Formula Renault .

In 2009 Zamparelli switched completely to formula racing and competed for Reon Motorsport in the BARC Formula Renault. He won three races and came third in the championship. He then took part in the winter series of the British Formula Renault and reached sixth place. The 2010 season was overshadowed by budget problems. He only started two races each of the Italian Formula 3 championship and the BARC Formula Renault. In 2011 Zamparelli returned completely to motorsport with Antel Motorsport and contested the entire BARC Formula Renault season. He won four of twelve races and was on the podium a total of eight times. With 295 to 286 points he prevailed against Josh Webster and became champion.

In 2012 Zamparelli received a cockpit in the FIA Formula 2 championship . He was third on the podium in two races and finished the season in eighth place. In 2013 Zamparelli moved to Marussia Manor Motorsport in the GP3 series . While his teammate Tio Ellinas finished the season in fourth place overall, Zamparelli was 18th in the championship with two seventh places as the best results. In 2014 Zamparelli completed his second GP3 season for ART Grand Prix . Zamparelli achieved six podium finishes. However, he was denied a victory. As the second-best driver in his racing team, he improved to seventh place overall.
