Dipna Lim Prasad (born June 7, 1991 in Singapore ) is a Singaporean sprinter and hurdler .

Athletic career

Dipna Lim Prasad gained her first experience in international competitions at the Junior Asian Championships 2010 in Hanoi , where she was eliminated in the first round in the 100-meter run in 12.46 s. The following year, she retired from the Summer Universiade in Shenzhen in the 200-meter run and in the 100-meter hurdles . Over the hurdles she could not qualify for the final at the Asian Championships in Kobe , as well as at the World Championships in Daegu, South Korea and the Southeast Asian Games in Palembang . In 2012 she took part in the 60 meter hurdles at the Asian Indoor Championships in Hangzhou , but did not reach the final there with 9.25 seconds. Then she was eliminated from the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul with a new national record of 9.00 s in the first round. During the outdoor season she qualified for the Olympic Games in London , where she was eliminated with 14.86 s in the preliminary round.

In 2013 she won the bronze medal in the 400-meter hurdles at the Southeast Asian Games in Naypyidaw and was fourth in the Singapore 4-by-400-meter relay. The following year she took part with the relay at the Asian Games in Incheon and finished eighth there in 3: 49.97 minutes. In 2015, he won a silver medal in the 400 meter hurdles and two fourth places with the relay at the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore . Two years later, she won the silver medal in the 400-meter run at the Games in Kuala Lumpur with 54.18 seconds , as well as in the hurdles sprint, and again finished two fourths in the relay. In 2018 she again took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where she finished seventh in the 400-meter hurdles in 59.68 s.

Dipna Lim Prasad studied Management and Sports Science at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She is married to the Singaporean sprinter Poh Seng Song .
