history
Dippersdorf is mentioned for the first time in 1230, but finds from the Bronze Age point to an earlier settlement phase . The name can be translated as the village of Diepolz . Dippersdorf originally belonged to the Passau Cathedral Chapter, later to the Augustinian Canons Monastery of St. Pölten and, in the 18th century, to the Teutonic Order . After the reforms of 1848/1849 , Dippersdorf was constituted as an independent municipality in 1850, was assigned to the Ravelsbach district until 1868 and then to the Hollabrunn district . In 1969 it merged to form the large community of Ziersdorf.
Dippersdorfer Bründl
Dippersdorfer Bründl , to the north-west of the village, is a small spring decorated with a statue of the Virgin Mary. The spring water pours into an enclosed pond, which is surrounded by a small forest.
