Dirty Doering (* 1978 in Leipzig , civic Velten Döring ) is a German DJ and operator of the Berlin House - Labels Katermukke .

life and work

In the 1980s, Doering emigrated with his mother from the GDR to the West and grew up in Baden-Baden . When he was 15, he said he started going to clubs, buying LPs and playing with two turntables at home with a friend. This was followed by appearances in smaller clubs in Baden-Baden and Karlsruhe as a teenager . At the same time, he completed training as a sports and gymnastics teacher . After Doering was regularly in Berlin as a teenager , he finally moved to the capital in 1999. Because the parties in the relevant techno clubs such as Ostgut or Sternradio did not last as long as they do now, he held so-called after hours in his apartment , where he hung up on the one hand and met many personalities from the techno scene on the other. He eventually became resident DJ in the Sternradio and earned his living from 2004 by DJing. In the following years and up to the present day, he played and continues to play in numerous Berlin clubs, such as Sisyphos , Tresor , Golden Gate , Watergate , Club der Visionär , Wilde Renate , Ritter Butzke , also as a resident in the now closed Bar 25 , the The successor club Kater Holzig, also closed, and today in Kater Blau .

Bookings followed in numerous other clubs around the world and appearances at festivals such as Fusion or Melt , internationally for example at the Sónar .

Doering founded and manages several labels, such as B. Katermukke , for which he registered a word mark in his name in 2013 , or the Allyoucanbeat label together with Housemeister . His music was also distributed by Rauschenbach Music . His well-known productions include I Would , Dr. Nagel (Christopher Schwarzwälder Remix) , El Matematico (Dirty Doering Remix) or Été Pluvieux or Sommer (Dirty Doering Remix) . His style as a DJ covers a wide range of techno in the broadest sense , from tech house and deep house to minimal techno . In his private life he likes to listen to numerous other styles of music such as jazz , reggae , dubstep , but also new wave , which according to his own statements also influences his productions.

The Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung describes him as “one of the most influential people on the Berlin club scene” and his label Katermukke as one of the “most important electronic labels”.
