The glacial formed by glacial hanging valley Dolina Sucha Stawiańska is a southeastern extension of the valley Dolina Zielona Gąsienicowa , which in turn is a tributary of the valley Dolina Suchej Wody gąsienicowej and in the Polish Tatras and West Tatra in the Lesser Poland is located. It lies below the peaks of Uhrocie Kasprowe , Kasprowy Wierch and Beskid, and the Sucha Przełęcz mountain pass .
geography
The valley is approx. 2 km long and surrounded by mountains over 2000 meters high, in particular the Kasprowy Wierch massif . The hanging valley Kocioł Kasprowy lies above the valley . In the valley runs the border between the High Tatras in the east and the Western Tatras in the west.
etymology
The name is derived from the fact that there are no lakes in this section of the Dolina Gąsienicowa valley, which is rich in lakes. It can be translated as dry lake valley .
Flora and fauna
The valley lies below and above the tree line. It is overgrown with mountain pines. The valley is a refuge for chamois and marmots.
climate
There is a high mountain climate in the valley.
Alpine farming
The valley has been used for alpine farming since the 17th century. It belonged to the Hala Gąsienicowa mountain pasture . After the establishment of the Tatra National Park in 1954, the former owners were expropriated or forced to sell. Since the alpine farming is no longer in operation, the valley has grown over with mountain pines.

- ▬ In the valley there is a yellow-marked hiking trail from the Schronisko PTTK Murowaniec refuge to the top of Kasprowy Wierch .
Through the valley of the 8.5 km long ski slope leads Gąsienicowa from Kasprowy Wierch down to the Zakopane area Kuźnice and a chair lift from the valley floor to Kasprowy Wierch, the chairlift Hala Gąsienicowa .
